Alan Wake 2 came out nearly three years ago and quickly became Remedy’s fastest-selling game. While the title sold its first million units soon after launch, Remedy confirmed last February that they had recouped the game’s development and marketing costs after selling over 2 million units.
Now, Remedy has another great milestone to share with fans. Despite Alan Wake 2 being released nearly three years ago, the title continues to impress new players, as it has now crossed the 3 million sales mark.
Remedy Entertainment confirmed the milestone during its recent half-year financial report covering January to June, revealing that Alan Wake 2 has sold over 3 million units. The developers further noted that they are happy with the title’s sales, as it is selling at the expected pace they had in mind.
In addition to Alan Wake 2‘s sales, Remedy’s latest report also confirms that Control Resonant has already surpassed 1.5 million wishlists. The title is just over a month away from launch, and it seems that many players are already anticipating its release.
The team reassures fans that its top priority is to ship an outstanding game and live up to their expectations.
It remains to be seen how Control Resonant will perform at launch, but we won’t have to wait long, as it officially comes out on September 24 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
