Rumor: Castlevania 3DS to be revealed next week

Next week will see TGS 2011 and all its festivities take place. We’ll also be getting, in a rare turn of events, a special Nintendo 3DS Conference just before the show. In it we’re expecting to see Nintendo fully showing off their second analog stick attachment for the glasses-free 3D handheld as well as a good amount of games being announced. Amongst them being one that many ‘vania fans have been waiting for since the 3DS launched (since the series has been quite nice to Nintendo’s last two handhelds).

Yes, according to a user on NeoGAF, next week will see the official announcement of a new Castlevania for the 3DS (as well as a new Contra and Fire Emblem title). The user also goes on to state how fans may not be too happy with the new direction the new game will be taking, which honestly worries me (despite being a rumor, albeit one that will most likely end up being true). We won’t have to wait long to find out if this is true or not. As always, stay tuned for more ‘vania coverage.

Okay, I’m a big fan of Fire Emblem and that guy is saying all 3 of those games (Castlevania, Contra, and Fire Emblem) are going in directions that fans won’t be pleased with. That scares me, what the hell could they be doing to Fire Emblem? Also, more than Fire Emblem I loooove Advance Wars! So where the hell is the faithful follow up to that, Intelligent Systems?

Oh well, regardless, I am super excited about Nintendo’s Keynote and TGS. Best time of the year for video game news!

well we already knew Contra was coming…hopefully it is less like the new “anime” style and more like Contra 4 “shattered Soldier” style.

I’ve missed out on all the DS Castlevanias and now I’ll miss out on all the 3DS ones, damn platform exclusivity.
