Resident Evil 6 prequel manga set for release in North America

Oh, look, Resident Evil news!

Resident Evil 6 was met with extremely divided reviews. Some people either loved it or hated it. I enjoyed it a whole lot, though not as much as Revelations, which was just vastly superior. But how exactly did the globe-spanning events of Resident Evil 6 get kicked into motion? Well, there’s a manga to answer that.

The manga, also known as Biohazard: Marhawa Desire,  focuses on a C-Virus outbreak that has occurred in a high school in Singapore. Chris Redfield and his BSAA troops are sent in to investigate. Professor Doug Wright and his nephew, Ricky, are now in the middle of a nightmare thanks to this disaster. The entire story will run five volumes, published by Viz Media. The first is set to be published in November.

I’ve been hoping for a North American release for this for quite a while, so I’ll definitely be picking this up. Now, let’s hope we get a back-to-the-roots game announcement sometime soon. E3?
