Outlast: Whistleblower DLC Coming this April to PC and PS4

Outlast developer Red Barrels has just announced that Outlast: Whistleblower will be available for PC and PS4 in April. The DLC, which was previously thought to be just a prequel, will actually tell a story that stretches over the main Outlast game, before its events and after.

Whistleblower stars Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract at Mount Massive Asylum. Park is the man responsible for alerting Miles, protagonist of the main game, about the strange activities in the asylum.

A new screenshot for Whistleblower has been revealed, and it’s pretty weird. In it there’s a man, sans genitals, licking a knife. Is this Doctor Trager before he removed all of his skin? I certainly hope so!

If you haven’t already, check out my review of the game. Excuse me while I impatiently wait for April.

Awesome! Can’t wait for this DLC.

  • Hopefully we see some of the horror of the female ward this time. Odd that we never see female patients.

You are bad boy CJ hehe…

      • Some diversity will be nice, that’s all. Loads of crazy dudes in an asylum that’s supposed to be for men and women, but no women seen at all. That’s odd.

        • LoveAnimation

Yea there is not a single woman in the entire Outlast game.
          Feels kinda weird.
Hope there will be crazy female patients this time.

Sweet. As long as its not expensive I may check it out!

Fuck. Yes. The wait begins. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite horror games of all time. I wish there were more games like it. Developers can learn a thing or two on creating a proper horror game from Outlast.
