New trailer for Shadow of the Eternals appears! (UPDATE 2: and it’s back!)

Back when it was a Kickstarter project, Shadow of the Eternals, the so-called spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, looked promising.  After all, a game in the same vein as one of the best horror games on the Nintendo Game Cube?  Yes please. Sadly, for a variety of reasons, people didn’t have much confidence in Precursor Games and Dennis Dyack at the helm, and the Kickstarter campaign didn’t raise enough funds to keep the project going. As such, it was put on indefinite hold. IGN has posted a new trailer for the game, now in the hands of Quantum Entanglement Entertainment.

This would be the first game that the company has produced, and the new trailer seems to be compiled of footage that was already shown, but it’s nice to know that the long-awaited successor to Eternal Darkness might still live.

Taking a look at the Quantum Entanglement Entertainment web page brings up a counter until the Event Horizon. Could  Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem‘s spiritual successor being announced on Halloween? Shadow of the Eternals was originally slated for a Q4 2014 release on PC and Wii-U, here’s hoping that at least one of those happens!

UPDATE: Just as I went to publish this post, the video has gone private!  However!  The counter on Quantum Entanglement Entertainment’s web page still reads 11 hours.  For some others, it’s apparently reading less.

UPDATE 2: And now it’s back!
