Silent Hill: Townfall Rating Appears Online, Hinting at Possible Presence in Upcoming State of Play

Silent Hill: Townfall

Four years after its official announcement, Silent Hill: Townfall was finally shown to the fans with its first official trailer earlier this year. Though the title was already confirmed for release later this year, it seems we will soon know the game’s official release date.

Recently, the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) rating for Silent Hill: Townfall has been surfacing, which usually happens when the title is about to be released. Therefore, it is likely we will hear more about the title’s release date as soon as later today.

It is likely that we may hear about the official release date of Silent Hill: Townfall during Sony’s State of Play event later today. According to the ESRB, the game is rated ‘M’ for Mature (17+) and features blood, strong language, and intense violence. Windows PC and PlayStation 5 are the only platforms the game has been rated for.

It’s currently unknown whether the game will be released on other platforms as well. The rating also confirms obvious things, such as that it is a survival-horror game in which players attempt to escape from a fictional island town in Scotland. There are also two cutscenes mentioned: one is a close-up depiction of a character stabbing a body, and the other is a man being eaten by a monster.

Nonetheless, it is still best to take this news with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed by the developers yet. Follow us to stay updated on all the latest information about Silent Hill: Townfall and other great horror titles.
