Konami Wants to Release a New Silent Hill Game Every Year

After more than ten years of silence, the Silent Hill series has returned. The comeback began with the Silent Hill 2 remake, released in 2024, followed by Silent Hill f in 2025. These two releases brought back long-time fans and also introduced the series to new players.

In short, Konami’s survival horror franchise seems ready to stay. Further confirmation comes from producer Motoi Okamoto, who said in a recent interview with Famitsu that the goal is to release one Silent Hill game per year.

Motoi Okamoto said,

Following the release of SILENT HILL 2 in October 2024, we were able to deliver SILENT HILL f in September 2025, and the Silent Hill series is now back on track. We aim to release about one title per year, including both announced and unannounced titles. We’re not sure how far we can achieve this, but we’ll do our best as the producer of the Silent Hill series. Ideally, we’d like to keep the buzz around Silent Hill constant. We’ll do our best to provide you with new updates, so we hope you’ll wait a little longer.

He added that keeping steady attention on the franchise is important. Konami plans to continue sharing updates and hopes fans will stay patient as new projects move forward.

Some upcoming projects are already known. These include the remake of the first Silent Hill, once again developed by Bloober Team, and the Silent Hill Townfall, created in collaboration with Annapurna Interactive.

According to Okamoto, there are also other Silent Hill games in development that have not yet been announced. In a previous interview, he even suggested that future entries could follow the example of Silent Hill f and take place in new locations, like Russia, South Korea, or even Italy.
