It seems that Silent Hill 2 Remake won’t stay exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PC for much longer. A new update on Bloober Team’s official website has made people think the game could soon come to Xbox Series X|S and maybe even Nintendo Switch 2. The timing makes a lot of sense.
For those who don’t know, this remake of Konami’s 2001 classic was released last year and was a big hit. The story of James Sutherland searching for his wife in the fog-covered town is still as dark and brilliant as ever, even winning several awards. So far, though, only PS5 and Steam players have been able to enjoy it. That could be about to change.
A Reddit user named PracticalSubstance99 noticed something interesting. On Bloober Team’s official site, there are two empty spaces next to the Steam and PlayStation logos. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but those gaps seem to be placeholders waiting for new announcements.
The exclusive period for Silent Hill 2 Remake ends on October 8, 2025, exactly one year after its release. Also, Bloober Team recently launched Cronos: The New Dawn and is working on a PS5 Pro patch, so releasing Xbox and Switch versions around the same time would make perfect sense.
In other news, Silent Hill producers confirms that every future Silent Hill will have its “own distinct flavor,” with each game offering unique stories and gameplay.
