Konami is increasingly focused on Silent Hill and has several projects on the way following the release of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, including a remake of the first game being developed by Bloober Team. But how long will we have to wait for its release?
According to AestheticGamer, also known as Dusk Golem, the wait may not be too long, as the development of the remake has actually been going on for quite some time.
Well-known leaker Dusk Golem, who has previously shared accurate information about Silent Hill and Resident Evil, responded to a user on Twitter, saying:
If I had to take a guess at the Silent Hill game release schedule (all subject to change at the whims of game dev, Hell this whole OG plan was delayed by a couple years+f & Townfall switched places as an example, & honestly good on Konami not just rushing them out & giving them time to cook), but right now if I had to guess based on the current situation it’d be: 2025 for Silent Hill f, 2026 for Townfall, 2027 for Silent Hill 1 Remake, and 2028 for an internally developed Silent Hill game.
He also noted that this timeline could change at any time, just as it did with the Silent Hill 2 Remake, which was delayed. He revealed that Konami’s original schedule was pushed back by two years. Initially, the plan was to release Townfall before Silent Hill f, but the order was later reversed. From his perspective, it’s a good thing that Konami is giving each game the time it needs for full development.
Of course, this is just speculation from a leaker and shouldn’t be taken as official or confirmed information. What we did learn, however, is that development on the Silent Hill 1 Remake started well before it was announced, so it might not take much longer before it releases.
