Earlier this year, it was reported that Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s new studio, Unbound, is working on a AAA game for consoles. While the developers have not yet shared much information, it seems the studio has more than one game in development.
Just last month, it was confirmed that Stellar Blade developer, Shift Up, is joining forces with Shinji Mikami’s new studio, Unbound, to create a masterpiece of the game. Now, the latest Shift Up earning report has confirmed that Unbound has multiple projects in development, ranging from high-end to mid-scale titles.
The report states:
With multiple projects currently in development spanning both high-end and mid-scale titles, we expect a sequential rollout of new releases.
The details remain unknown for now, but the studio claims they will be shared as the developers progress. So, fans will likely hear more about their title in the near future. Not much was shared about the partnership with Unbound in the latest Shift Up earnings report.
The expectations are naturally high for Shinji Mikami, considering the legacy he has built over the years. He has consistently delivered standout titles, so hopefully, he takes his time and delivers something that lives up to that standard once again. Shift Up has also been on an impressive run lately, and with Mikami potentially working alongside them, the project could turn into something seriously special.
