First Physical Copies of Resident Evil Requiem Leak Online, Fans Warned About Spoilers

Resident Evil 9 Requiem

One of the most frustrating things for many gamers is when street dates are not respected. This is not just about physical copies being sold early, but also about users who share leaked content on social media. Breaking street date has already happened with many major game releases, and now it seems to be happening with Resident Evil Requiem as well.

The concern is simple: if early copies are out in the wild, spoilers can spread quickly and ruin key parts of the story for fans. Proof of this situation appeared on Reddit, where a post linked to images showing the sealed Deluxe Edition for PS5.

At first glance, this may not seem like a serious issue. However, if some players already have access to the game, it is only a matter of time before gameplay clips or story details start appearing online.

With the official release slated for February 27, fans should be careful when browsing the internet, including YouTube and social media, as spoilers are likely to surface.

Although over a week still remains before launch, some players already have their physical copies of Requiem. This usually happens when smaller stores, outside of large retail chains, deliver pre-orders earlier than planned. Sometimes, it also comes down to personal connections.

There is nothing wrong with playing a game early. The real problem begins when someone decides to share videos or important story details online.

In other news, you can now purchase the Resident Evil Reload Collection Extra bundle on Steam for just $39.44, which includes nine mainline games and two DLCs, providing nearly the full saga before the release of Resident Evil Requiem. Note that the bundle purchase also automatically discounts you for entries you already own in your Steam library.
