Typing-Based Sci-Fi Horror ‘Remote Control’ Revealed With New Trailer, Arriving Later This Year

Remote Control Featured

Just recently, another great new sci-fi survival-horror adventure, Remote Control, was announced by developer Canteen and publisher Weekend Games. The game’s release date has not been announced yet, but the developer has confirmed it will be released later this year.

Remote Control is a return to classic text-based games, where you control the humans by issuing commands. The game takes place in deep space, on a spaceship that has gone silent and cut off all communication, leaving everyone in the dark about what happened.

To solve this mystery, you will be working from the remote computer terminal to control humans who are named “proxies” in the game. They will be sent inside the ship for investigation, but the ship isn’t safe. The crew is already dead, and something strange happened to the spaceship. As you give commands to the proxies, they begin to feel fear.

Since they are real humans working for you, not all of your commands will be executed perfectly. To make the game more challenging, you will be given twelve attempts to discover what happened to the ship. Every time your proxy dies, you lose a chance. That’s why you have to be smart, as there are consequences to your actions.

The idea of the game is simple yet intriguing. While you are not directly in danger, your commands can place the proxies at risk, and a single wrong order could cost them their lives. This forces you to think carefully, as every decision matters. With limited time to act, your goal is to solve the mystery without sacrificing the proxies along the way.

The release date for Remote Control is unknown at the moment, but it is available to wishlist on Steam.

The developers have also released an announcement trailer, which you can watch below.
