Perception Releasing May 30th

Deep End Games’ upcoming horror game Perception has made its rounds at events and has been in the news for quite some time now, and today we finally know when we can play it. Via GameSpot, we’ve learned that Perception will release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on May 30th.

Cast in the role of a blind woman named Cassie, Perception tasks players with navigating a haunted mansion without sight. Cassie has honed skills in echolocation, which allow her (and by extension the player) to see her surroundings when sound is present. Cassie only has her cellphone and walking stick to guide her past and away from the mansion’s supernatural beings.

I played a little bit of Perception last year and saw room for improvement when it came to the game’s scares. If the latest trailer is any indication, there will be a lot more spooky happenings than what I saw. The premise is great, so here’s hoping the game is too.
