Red Barrels Games has announced today that Outlast, their first and incredibly entertaining horror game, will be expanded upon with DLC. The DLC is said to be revealed on Halloween day, but the developer has stated that it will star a new protagonist and remain within Mount Massive Asylum. Color me excited.
Along with the DLC announcement is a 33% discount across various digital retailers, bringing down the price to $13.40. Those that purchase the game from the developer’s website get a DRM-free copy, a Steam key, and the game’s soundtrack. The Outlast OST can also be purchased separately for $4.
Outlast was my very first 10/10 on this site. I was a hell of a good time and I hope the DLC makes it even better. I wonder who we’ll be playing as. Another reporter? A detective? A patient? Oh, I can’t wait!
