Metro Redux revealed, coming to consoles and PC this summer

Deep Silver has today formally announced Metro Redux: a remastered re-release of 4A’s Games Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. Set to arrive this summer on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, Metro Redux is said to include improvements, tweaks, and new content over the original releases of 2033 and Last Light.

Starting with Metro 2033, Redux will include an advanced version of the game featuring a graphical facelift to make it on par with its sequel, a far visually superior game, and improved AI, stealth, and animations. Metro: Last Light will be receiving some new stealth kills, returning features from 2033 (checking your watch and inventory), and some graphical improvements. Last Light will include all season pass content as well.

Both games in Metro Redux will include difficulty options that alter the games to either a survival horror style of play or more action oriented like Last Light, with the Survival Play and Spartan Play styles. Ranger Mode, a less forgiving HUD-less gameplay setting  meant to increase difficulty, will also be included for both games.

Metro Redux will be releasing later this summer for $49.99. Both Metro 2033 and Last Light‘s redux versions can be purchased separately for $24.99. Linux and Steam OS versions have been confirmed, but with a release farther down the line.
