During the showcase dedicated to the Little Nightmares series, there was space for the announcement of the upcoming Enhanced Edition, a remastered version of the 2017 Tarsier Studios title. It will be released on October 10, 2025, alongside Little Nightmares III, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Publisher Bandai Namco released a comparison trailer between the old and new versions, showcasing the progress made with the updated 4K graphics running at 60 fps, as well as new volumetric lighting, richer particle effects, and the addition of ray-traced reflections, which enhance the graphical depth.
Other highlights include faster loading times, as well as gameplay changes, such as improved checkpoint placements and gameplay helpers.

The publisher has said: “Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition will be immediately available for those who pre-order a digital copy of Little Nightmares III for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.” So, if you enjoy the series, this might be worth considering.
In Little Nightmares, players take on the role of Six, a lone child lost in a massive, metal vessel known as the Maw, surrounded by dangerous, distorted versions of adults. You’ll need to do your best to escape in one piece, or your fate will be worse than you ever dared dream.
