Good news Australian Left 4 Dead fans! It might be a few years too late, but you’re finally getting the uncensored version of Left 4 Dead 2.

In 2010, the Office of Film and Literature Classification had denied Left 4 Dead 2 a rating, meaning it couldn’t be released in the country.  As a compromise, a censored version of the game was released there instead. The game has since been resubmitted to the board and was given an R18+ rating (which only existed since 2013).

Just to clarify, this isn’t a new version of the game – it’s the game that pretty much everyone else got back in 2010. Enterprising gamers will always find a way around censorship as well, as there were several mods that existed to do just that.

Careful now, 2010 the extreme violence and gore in Left 4 Dead 2 is nothing to mess around with–ugh, that’s so ridiculous I can’t even finish the joke.
