A decade after vanishing, the Silent Hill franchise made a massive comeback with the release of the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Since then, Konami has been working hard to bring back old fans and introduce the franchise to new ones.
Recently, Silent Hill f was also released, and a remake of the first game is already in full production. The producer of Konami, Motoi Okamoto, stated last year that the franchise will see a new entry every year. While the remake of the first entry is already in development, a recent Konami financial report suggested that a new entry in the franchise is in development.
As the report suggested that a new entry in the franchise is in development alongside the remake, many were expecting Konami to announce a brand-new entry. However, the studio has officially addressed the ongoing speculation, confirming that the “brand-new title” refers to Silent Hill: Townfall, which was first announced in 2022.
Although the title was initially revealed in 2022, Konami’s description of “brand new” is technically correct since Townfall is a new game that has yet to be released, despite being officially announced. As of now, it seems that there are no additional installments being developed beyond those we already know about.
A recent leak suggested that Silent Hill: Townfall may release in March this year. While nothing is official at the moment, it is best to wait a little while, as we will be hearing more about it in the coming months.
