Hollowbody was first announced in 2022 as a tech-noir survival horror short story developed and published by one-man developer Headware Games. It was released in 2024 for PC and lived up to expectations, garnering a solid 8.5 out of 10 from us.
Two years after its official launch, the developer has just confirmed that Hollowbody is finally hitting consoles next month.
This is a massive achievement for the solo developer who made it happen without a publisher. The developer also stated that this was done only because of popular fan demand. It has also been confirmed that the console version of the title will come with the complete game. All post-launch updates added to the Steam version after release will already be included in the console version.
Hollowbody has seen several updates over the years, including a third-person camera mode, rumble support, new optional puzzles, bug fixes, and other improvements. These updates will already be part of the console version, so, fans can expect a very polished, optimized version of the title at launch.
Hollowbody will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 5th, priced $16.99 USD / €15.99 EUR. PlayStation pre-orders will begin tomorrow via the PS Store, where PlayStation Plus members can take advantage of a 15% discount. Xbox pre-orders open on May 22 and will also include a 15% discount.
