Video game retailer turned game publisher GMG has sent a cryptic email. In it contains a letter about a plane crash and one possible survivor. Set in 2021, the note shares details of an unknown virus that lingers in multiple regions on Earth. What kind of virus? Well, based on the trailer for LIFELESS, their new game, it’s a zombie virus.
The trailer for LIFELESS shows the game’s unnamed protagonist struggle to control their plane as they make crash landing into a body of water. Clips of the game’s environments, presumably where our survivor ends up, are show in addition to some spooky scenery and shambling people. It’s a horror game alright, and a pretty one at that (minus the image on the developer’s website).
LIFELESS is being developed by Rigid-Soft, and is set for a 2016 release on GMG and Steam. A beta signup page is available as well here.
