Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake Trailer Confirms March Demo and Silent Hill f Collaboration

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake

Two decades after the original release, Koei Tecmo Games announced the Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake last September, with the release date of March 2026.

As we approach the end of January, the developers have announced that the game’s demo will launch on March 5, one week ahead of the official release of Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake. This isn’t the only exciting news shared by the team, as they have also announced a collaboration with Silent Hill f.

The collaboration is in the form of free DLC costumes as the twin sister protagonists in Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly, Mio and Mayu Amaku, are likely to make a similar appearance as Hinako Shimizu, the protagonist of Silent Hill f.

While more information about the collaboration is unknown at the moment, fans can expect to know more about the free DLC in the near future, as we aren’t far away from the release of the title. The developers have also confirmed that the full game will carry over all progress saved in the demo once it releases.

Koei Tecmo Games has also launched a new overview trailer of Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, which shows over 2 minutes of gameplay. The latest trailer looks solid, setting great expectations for the upcoming release from Koei Tecmo Games.

The title is set to launch officially on the 12th of March across PC and all major consoles.
