Next year, 2026, is going to be an amazing year for Capcom fans, as the developers are not only releasing Resident Evil: Requiem but have also confirmed two more games for next year’s lineup during Gamescom 2025.
The event ended with three massive announcements from the developers. While one was obvious, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Pragmata came as a surprise, since Capcom has been quiet about both of these titles. However, releasing more games isn’t the point. What matters is whether both of the upcoming games will be as good as Resident Evil: Requiem, which appears to be one of the most exciting releases of next year.
Both of the titles are quite different from Resident Evil: Requiem. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is more of an action-adventure fighting game, showcasing intense combat and atmospheric environments.
On the other hand, Pragmata is a unique sci-fi puzzle game, a new IP from the developers, which was first announced in 2020 but then went missing. Now, it has finally been confirmed to be coming next year.
Based on the two recent announcements and the gameplay footage shown at Gamescom, we have released a detailed video on our YouTube channel, comparing the titles and sharing our opinion on whether they will be as good as Resident Evil: Requiem.
Check out the video below, and, in the meantime, let us know which Capcom game you are most excited to play next year.
