Every Future Silent Hill Will Have Its “Own Distinct Flavor,” Says Producer

Silent Hill f has been a huge success, but the next game in the series may not necessarily follow the same formula, according to series producer Motoi Okamoto in a recent interview at the Tokyo Game Show.

As reported earlier, Silent Hill f has already achieved remarkable sales, surpassing one million copies sold within 24 hours, an impressive feat that even outperformed Silent Hill 2 Remake in terms of early sales momentum.

The game has been well received by both critics and players. However, this doesn’t mean that Konami plans to stick to this exact formula for future titles.

Konami’s goal is to experiment with the Silent Hill franchise, which means that upcoming entries might introduce new elements such as different settings, atmospheres, and gameplay mechanics to create a unique tone for each title.

“Of course, that doesn’t mean every future Silent Hill will be like Silent Hill f,” Okamoto explained. “Each one will have its own distinct flavor. We want to keep experimenting and be ambitious, both in terms of gameplay design and storytelling, so please look forward to the next Silent Hill as well.”

Rely on Horror’s review of Silent Hill f gave it a score of 9 out of 10, stating that “Silent Hill f is not a perfect game, but it is a worthy addition to one of gaming’s most storied horror franchises.”

In other news, it has been confirmed that the remake of the first Silent Hill is now in production, with Bloober Team officially working on the project.
