Demo Out Now for ‘CH13: Rest Stop’, a Psychological Horror Game Set in Early 2000s Poland

CH13: Rest Stop is an upcoming psychological horror game set in early 2000s Poland developed by solo indie developer Yellow Smile. The game tells the story of Wojciech, a young father driving home late at night when he encounters a closed road and is forced to take detour through the forest.

What was supposed to be a quiet drive slowly turns into an unsettling experience that puts his sanity to the test.

Story

Wojciech is a 32-year-old new father, exhausted by sleepless nights and the constant strain of everyday life. After a long business meeting, he should have stayed at the hotel and left at dawn. But his wife had caught a cold, and the thought of leaving her alone with their ten-month-old daughter would not let him rest. When the main road is closed, Wojciech is forced to turn onto a narrow forest detour he has never driven before.

The longer he drives, the more the road, the trees, and his own thoughts seem to blur together. What was meant to be a quiet journey turns into an unsettling experience that puts his mind to the test.

Features:

  • Short, atmospheric horror experience
  • Story shaped by exhaustion, isolation, and growing unease
