Deadpact is a first-person survival-horror dungeon crawler set in a rotting medieval kingdom, recently announced by developer Low Health Games, a two-person studio based in Istanbul. The title seems like another exciting indie horror game to look forward to in the coming months.
The game lets you play as a condemned person who has been sent into the depths of forbidden, long-sealed ruins, where you must survive horrifying creatures and uncover what happened to the place. The choices players make throughout the game matter a lot, as Deadpact offers multiple endings based on those decisions.
Unlike most games in the genre, players cannot fight the enemies, as each creature responds in its own way and needs to be handled differently. While some of the creatures have supernatural abilities, others can find you simply by hearing sounds, so players have to be very cautious throughout the gameplay.
Nothing down there can be fought, and every creature hunts by its own rule;one finds you by your noise, while another harms you simply for staring at. Your body keeps the damage, too. Limbs can be lost, wounds go septic, and hunger and sleep matter.
Although there’s no release date yet, the developers have released a free demo on Steam, allowing players to experience the title before its full release. Watch the full trailer below, and wishlist Deadpact on Steam.
