Amnesty International breaks agreement with Nicolas Games

A post made on the website for Afterfall: Insanity’s website states that Amnesty International has broken their agreement with Nicolas Games.  The organization will no longer be accepting the donation money collected from the Pre-Order for $1 campaign.

Amnesty international unites people against injustice worldwide and are committed for lasting solutions to the world’s human rights challenges.  Some of their work involves abolishing the death penalty, fighting for the human rights of refugees and migrant workers and fighting for indigenous peoples around the world.

We’re not sure whether this is positive for the game’s horror image or just a little disheartening.  According to Amnesty, the game is just too brutal – it doesn’t fit with the image that Amnesty wants to convey.

The cash that has already been collected (almost $19,000) will now be donated to a charity organization picked by the purchasers, should the game not reach the 1 million pre-order mark.
