While coverage of Akiba’s Trip has been mostly CJ’s territory, I have been keeping an eye on this franchise as well, but was unable to play it because I exclusively chill with the PC and Wii U.
Now it seems like I might finally be able rectify this, since a listing for Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed has appeared on SteamDB. While the record has been named “SteamDB Unknown App 333980” with the type of application set to “unknown”, the last known name that it held was “AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed“.
SteamDB is not directly affiliated with Valve or Steam, so this can’t be considered an official announcement. The site is a third party that gives users insight in the contents of Steam’s database, without doing anything illegal, of course. It certainly wouldn’t be strange seeing the game appear on Steam, though, since visual novels have been very popular on the service lately and Sega’s port of Valkyria Chronicles was a huge succes as well.
