So, if any of you bet against Jorge’s call that Barry would be making an appearance in Resident Evil Revelations 2, it’s time to pony up. While Capcom has been quiet about the legendary Barry, the ESRB has a difficult time keeping its mouth shut.
According to the ESRB rating description for Revelations, the game will feature blood, gore, intense violence, strong language, and Barry.
Well, specifically, their ratings page says…
This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the roles of an imprisoned woman and a father searching for his daughter on an island. Players use pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, shotguns, and knives to kill zombies and mutated creatures. Combat is highlighted by screams of pain, realistic gunfire, and large blood-splatter effects. A handful of enemies are depicted with exposed organs, and one scene depicts an enemy having its hand cut off in slow-motion. Another scene depicts a human character shooting herself in the head with a pistol, resulting in a large splatter of blood. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.
So unless there’s some other father searching for his daughter on an island (like, say, new character Jerry Durton?) that familiar face that Capcom had been hinting at is definitely a welcome one. Now just for a better look at how the old man has held up for all these years! C’mon Capcom, don’t leave us hanging!
