A game has truly “made it” when a poorly made mobile clone appears that steals its screenshots and partially copies its title, trying to mislead players. That is the case of Silent Fear: Last Stop, a clone for iOS developed by Khail Al Yamama whose store page uses screenshots from Silent Hill f, alongside images generated via artificial intelligence.
Anyone can notice that the icon of Silent Fear: Last Stop is most likely an AI-generated image inspired by the cover art created by kera for Silent Hill f. Meanwhile, the artwork of Silent Hill f shows the protagonist Hinako being slowly infected by the spider’s red lilies; the girl in the logo of Silent Fear appears to show no such effects.
The gameplay images used to advertise the game are actually screenshots taken from an MKIceAndFire YouTube video of Silent Hill f, easily identified by the watermark in the bottom-right of the iPad screens. The images have been edited to give the illusion that the game is running on an iOS device.
The only in-game image for the clone (probably AI-generated) shows the protagonist of Silent Fear, cloned from Hinako, standing behind a checkout counter in a minimarket.
The app is listed as Silent Fear: Last Stop on App Store, where you work as a “night-shift attendant at the nearly deserted roadside gas travel plaza.” It’s also worth noting that the game is priced at $4.99.
