Konami has officially announced that Silent Hill f, the latest installment in its iconic survival horror series, will launch on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The announcement was made during today’s State of Play, accompanied by a haunting new trailer that offers a deeper look into the game’s unsettling world.
Set in 1960s Japan, Silent Hill f introduces players to the fictional town of Ebisugaoka, a place shrouded in a mysterious fog and plagued by otherworldly horrors. The story follows Hinako Shimizu, a high school student whose ordinary life is upended as she navigates the twisted realities of her once-familiar hometown.
The narrative, penned by acclaimed writer Ryukishi07, known for his work on the Higurashi series, promises a psychological journey filled with complex puzzles and grotesque monsters.
The game’s aesthetic marks a departure from previous entries, embracing a uniquely Japanese horror atmosphere. Art director Kera has crafted a visual style that intertwines beauty with terror, creating environments that are both mesmerizing and macabre.
Complementing this is a chilling soundtrack composed by series veteran Akira Yamaoka, alongside Kensuke Inage, blending traditional Japanese court music with ambient echoes to enhance the game’s immersive experience.
Silent Hill f is being developed by NeoBards Entertainment, a studio with a history of working on titles such as Resident Evil: Resistance and various Resident Evil remakes. This marks the first mainline Silent Hill game in over a decade, signaling a significant revival of the franchise.
Pre-orders for Silent Hill f are now available through major retailers, with options for both physical and digital editions. Fans eager to delve into this new chapter can also wishlist the game on Steam.
