Silent Hill 2 Remake Could Receive DLC ‘Born from a Wish’ Soon

According to well-known insider Dusk Golem, Bloober Team is working on additional content for the Silent Hill 2 Remake. The DLC, titled Born from a Wish, is said to have a very high chance of being announced soon, possibly during the Summer Game Fest on June 6. Development on the expansion reportedly began before the release of the main game, and it is expected to be launched this year.

Born from a Wish is a prequel episode to the original Silent Hill 2 that focuses on Maria and tells the events that lead up to her meeting with James Sunderland. Initially introduced in Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams (or Silent Hill 2: Director’s Cut), this side chapter could return as a paid DLC with updated features.

Given that the original episode takes between 30 and 60 minutes to complete, it is likely that Bloober Team will expand the experience and increase its length for the DLC.

While waiting to see if Bloober Team and Konami will announce the DLC, Dusk Golem also hints that the game might be coming to Xbox Series X/S. The insider suggests that the agreement with Sony is for a temporary console exclusive, meaning the game could eventually be released on Xbox in the near future.
