Silent Hill 2 DLC “Born From a Wish” Unlikely for Now, According to Maria Voice Actress

During a recent livestream, the voice actress for Maria/Mary in the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, addressed fan questions about the rumored “Born From a Wish” DLC. She clarified that she has not recorded any material for the project and has not received any updates from Konami or Bloober Team, suggesting the expansion is not currently in development.

Since Maria plays a central role in that expansion, the lack of involvement from her voice actress suggests that the project is not currently in development, at least for now.

Born From a WishIn response to the many questions she received during the livestream, following recent rumors about the DLC, Gunnarsdóttir said:

I’m not going to announce any Born From a Wish thing. I’m waiting for Konami to say something. I even asked Bloober if they were going to say something. But we’ve not recorded anything from Born From a Wish. I’m so sorry. I don’t know anything else. I just know that I haven’t recorded any material for it.

This makes it seem unlikely that the DLC is planned for the Silent Hill 2 remake, unless voice recording sessions are scheduled to take place later (or Gunnarsdóttir is legally not allowed to speak about it).

In other news, Konami confirms that every future Silent Hill will have its own distinct flavor, with each game offering unique stories and gameplay.
