Save the World From Cosmic Oblivion in Upcoming Point-and-click Adventure, ‘Dunwich Horror’

Dunwich HorrorDeveloped and published by Atom Brain Games, Dunwich Horror is an upcoming point-and-click horror adventure title based on the classic H. P. Lovecraft short story, The Dunwich Horror.

Atom Brain Games is the one-person studio of Finnish developer Antti Laakso, who previously adapted another Lovecraft story, Dreams in the Witch House, which also featured a unique blend of point-and-click and RPG-adventure elements.

Story

After Wilbur Whateley’s failed attempt to steal the Necronomicon from Miskatonic University, Professor Armitage thought it was over. But that was just the beginning.

Dunwich is in panic. The Whateley farmhouse has exploded, and rumors spread of an invisible monster roaming the hills.

With Dr. Rice and Dr. Morgan at his side, Armitage sets out for the dreaded and degenerate town of Dunwich. If there is indeed a cosmic threat, only Armitage can stop it with his occult knowledge. But first he must learn Wilbur’s true purpose. And what exactly is wrong in that godforsaken town.

What Armitage discovers is far more twisted and catastrophic than anyone could imagine. The fate of Dunwich, perhaps even the whole world, rests in the hands of the aging professor.
