Resident Evil Requiem has already been a massive success for Capcom. It has become the best-selling game in the franchise, selling over 6 million copies in three weeks, easily surpassing initial expectations.
The latest market report suggests that Resident Evil Requiem became the best-selling game in the US within a day. According to Circana’s market research, which covers February 1st to 28th, Resident Evil Requiem, released on the Feb. 27th, has outperformed all other titles, topping the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC charts in just 24 hours to become the best-selling game in the U.S.
This is a massive success for the title. It is also the sixth-best-selling game on the Switch 2. While the list has many other huge titles like NBA 2K26, Ghost of Yotei, Minecraft and others, nothing could top the sales of Requiem.
It should also be noted that there are only two other titles on the list besides Requiem – Code Vein 2 and Dragon Quest 7: Reimagined – that released in this year, the rest are all returning titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5, and others which continues to grow every quarter.
Though there are no exact U.S. sales numbers, this is still a massive achievement for Capcom. Following the great reception, the developers have already confirmed a story expansion DLC for the title.
The modding community is also doing a fantastic job, releasing mods like a VR version to offer fans an even more immersive experience.
