Resident Evil Requiem Director Says RE9 Avoids RE6’s Multi-Protagonist Mistakes and It’s More Like Sushi

Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem is just around the corner, and the developers have been revealing much information about the game to bring more hype around the title.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Koshi Nakanishi, the director of Resident Evil Requiem, discussed how the latest entry in the series will avoid the multi-protagonist mistakes of the past.

While the majority of the fans have been happy about the recent announcement of Leon Kennedy being the playable character in the upcoming entry, some fans have also been talking about how bad it was when the developers tried to achieve multi-protagonist gameplay with Resident Evil 6

Even though RE6 remains one of the most controversial releases in the franchise, the director has reassured fans that they won’t be repeating old mistakes and even compared the title to the sushi.

Imagine there’s no such thing as Sushi. If sushi hadn’t been invented yet, a fish lover would just want to eat sashimi, raw fish. A rice lover would just want rice.

Nakanishi went on to state that even though the idea of mixing fish with rice sounds weird initially, it turned out amazing. Similarly, their idea is to combine both of the characters, so they are more than the sum of their parts.

Therefore, it is best to trust the developers as they call themselves the inventors of sushi here and are about to cook crazy something crazy for the fans. The wait won’t be long as we are just a month away from the official release of the title.

In other news, if you are planning to play Resident Evil Requiem, it is best to ensure you have already played these parts in the franchise.
