It seems that the American retailer GameStop may have accidentally revealed some content from Resident Evil Requiem on the product page for the Deluxe Edition, although the description on the site appears inconsistent.
According to the listing, “The Deluxe Edition includes the PC Steam Digital Code, a SteelBook Case, and the following digital content:”
-
“The Sanctuary” Expansion Pass: Includes 2 new story scenarios and a major Mercenaries mode update.
-
“Morphic Visor” Cosmetic Filter: A unique cosmetic look for Rose’s visor.
-
“Shadow Walker” Costume Pack: 3 exclusive outfits for Rosemary Winters.
-
Digital Artbook & Official Soundtrack
Interestingly, the list mentions Rosemary Winters, Ethan’s daughter, who should have no involvement in this new chapter of the series. This, along with other mistakes, suggests that the text might have been made using AI, which caused some wrong or confusing details in the description.
The well-known leaker Dusk Golem, who is familiar with the development background of Resident Evil Requiem, raised doubts about the information posted by GameStop, pointing out several highly suspicious details.
The concerns include the mention of Rose, references to Raccoon City and the Baker house, and the inclusion of DLC content in a Deluxe Edition, something Capcom rarely does.
What do you think? Could this have been a genuine leak or just an error? Let us know in the comments.
