After working on titles like We Never Left and Summerland, FYRE Games has just confirmed the release date of their next title, Project Songbird, releasing on March 26th.
The title is a psychological horror that focuses on atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional immersion, allowing players to feel the horror rather than a traditional jumpscare experience.
Project Songbird focuses on the story of Dakota, who was once a very successful musician but has lately been struggling with writer’s block. While his journey begins with creative inspiration, it soon takes a turn when Dakota isolates himself in a remote log cabin in the Appalachian forest to work on his next album.
While he thought isolating himself would allow him to work peacefully, instead, strange and disturbing events unfold in the forest. The game offers a terrifying experience as the forest theme itself feels very unsettling, giving players a unique adventure that won’t be easy to forget.
Game Features:
- A dark, enthralling 4-5 hour narrative to keep you hooked and guessing until the end.
- Gorgeous visuals as you traverse numerous and diverse environments, presented with a cinematic, film-like aesthetic.
- Ranged and melee combat with upgradeable weapons to help you survive your nightmarish journey.
- A stellar voice cast, starring Valerie Rose Lohman (What Remains of Edith Finch, Wolfenstein: Youngblood), Jonah Scott (Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Date Everything), and Aleks Le (Persona 3: Reloaded, Marvel Rivals, Ghost of Yotei.)
- A beautifully dynamic and haunting soundtrack composed and performed by Jacob Noska, and Jonah Henthorne: members of the band Auric Echoes.
Project Songbird is set to release on the 26th of March on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Meanwhile, you can check out the latest trailer below, offering players an idea of what kind of experience they will receive once the game is out.
