During The Game Awards 2025, Kepler and Frictional Games announced Ontos, a new science-fiction adventure from the creators of SOMA.
The game will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) sometime in 2026. In the meantime, you can get a first look at it in the announcement trailer below.
According to the first details, Ontos will take players on a journey to the edge of reality. You will play as Aditi Amani, exploring the Samsara, a former lunar hotel built by her father — a brilliant scientist who became a prophet. What begins as a personal search soon turns into a nightmare filled with deception and obscurity.
The Samsara is a place where reality breaks apart and each experiment challenges the limits of science and morality. The trials are not just puzzles, but meaningful choices with real consequences — choices that can overturn even the most ethical decisions.
The moon base is a vast, interconnected maze built on the ruins of a mining colony and an opulent hotel, now fought over by rival philosophical factions. From laboratories inside lavish casinos to theater stages turned into research centers and moon caves full of machines, every corner tells a story and hides a secret.
