At this point, it is clear that Konami intends to heavily focus on Silent Hill again. For this reason, it comes as no surprise that another new game in the series is currently in development, alongside the already announced remake of the first Silent Hill.
As part of the documents released with Konami’s third-quarter financial results, which were very positive for the company, including its video game business, Konami confirmed that a brand new series entry is in development. The game has not yet been revealed, but it will be officially presented in the future.
“As a continuation of our ongoing efforts, we are currently developing a brand-new title in the SILENT HILL series, as well as a remake of the first installment, SILENT HILL,” Konami stated in its published documents.
The remake was announced several months ago and is being developed by Bloober Team, which continues its strong collaboration with Konami after the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake. That project managed to win over both critics and players, despite early concerns.
Additionally, the upcoming new title is expected to be multiplatform from day one, as Konami’s statement specifically mentions the goal of reaching players on as many devices as possible.
This confirms Konami’s long-term plan to relaunch the beloved series as a major, multi-project franchise rather than a single standalone release.
