If the Metro series could be defined in one way it would be in it’s near peerless presentation of a post apocalyptic environment. The world despite being oppressive is so rich with gothic detail that it becomes a place you really want to take your time exploring despite how depressing it can be.
Metro: Last Light will probably be most people’s first step into the series, and because of that Deep Silver has released a trailer used to inform players of the world they’ll be entering. It’s a bit of an information dump, but it serves it’s purpose well in that regard. It’s also clever that they present this information in a “survival guide” method for new Metro rangers.
It’s an interesting meld of showing off the technical prowess behind the game while still giving titbits about the lore.
