Luto Gets New Trailer Along With Official Release Date

Luto

Just when you thought it was safe to breathe easy after the Future Games Show’s onslaught of horror reveals, Broken Bird Games emerges from the shadows with something personal, suffocating, and deeply psychological.

The studio has announced that Luto, its highly anticipated psychological horror experience, will officially launch on July 23rd. To mark the occasion, a haunting new trailer was unveiled, hinting at the emotional and psychological labyrinth that awaits.

In Luto, you play as someone who can’t leave their own home. But this isn’t your average locked-room mystery. Every attempt at escape peels back another layer of reality, descending you further into disorientation and despair. The walls around you breathe, memories twist into monsters, and the line between grief and nightmare dissolves. Broken Bird Games promises a descent that is not only terrifying, but intimate, raw, and unsettlingly real.

The game’s environments are a surrealist fever dream. According to the devs, “The truth has many faces… and you might not like the one you find.” It’s an experience that places equal weight on atmospheric storytelling and emotional unease.

Alongside the release date, the developers have shared Luto’s official PC requirements. Minimum specs include an Intel Core i5 4690 or Ryzen 3 1200, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 1060 or RX 580. Recommended specs bump that up to a Core i7 8700K or Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT. The install size clocks in at a lean 22 GB. However, we’re still waiting on details regarding target resolution and frame rate.

There’s good news for the curious and the brave: a demo is available now on Steam. If you want a taste of what Luto has in store, download it and prepare yourself.

Luto is shaping up to be a horror game that isn’t about jump scares or monsters in the dark. It’s about being haunted by what you can’t escape: your own mind.
