Developed by Saber Interactive, the game combines fast-paced horror action with 1980s B-movie humor, inspired by the unique style of John Carpenter. The story takes place in a near-future apocalyptic world, where a failed experiment has unleashed a dark creature known as the Sludge God, turning Earth into a nightmare filled with undead monsters.

Players take control of one of the Toxic Commandos and team up with up to three friends online to fight hordes of creatures using explosive weapons, armored vehicles, and various upgradeable abilities.

Pre-orders are now open on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Players who order early will also receive the free “Leon’s Secret Stash” DLC.

In other The Game Awards news, Leon S. Kennedy has finally been officially confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming game Resident Evil Requiem.
