The golden age of Survival Horror never really died, it’s just been waiting to rise again. Eternal Evil, the unapologetically brutal first-person horror game from developer and publisher Honor Games, is finally making its console debut. After its original 2022 launch on Steam, the title will be heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on May 30, with pre-orders now live.
Set in a world plunged into chaos after an unexplained apocalyptic event, Eternal Evil throws players into a town overrun by bloodthirsty ghouls. Survivors are few, and hope is even rarer. You are one such survivor, armed, alone, and tasked with uncovering the truth behind the outbreak before you’re consumed by it.
Resource management is key, and your inventory will feel like a lifeline as much as a limitation. Eternal Evil pulls no punches in its difficulty, demanding careful decision-making, puzzle-solving, and a steady aim.
The game also ups the ante with realistic gunplay and physics-driven dismemberment. Enemies don’t just die, they mutate, stalk, and overwhelm, turning each encounter into a high-stakes battle. Eternal Evil’s interconnected environments are filled with secrets, adding layers of replayability for players hungry to uncover the full extent of the town’s tragedy.
