Another new indie horror has arrived on the scene: Bloodmoored is a first-person psychological horror game being developed by solo developer Stormdrill. The title is currently targeting a 2027 launch and will be available only on PC, but no further details have been disclosed at the moment.
The title lets you play as a young woman named Anna, who just inherited her late father’s abandoned factory. What she doesn’t know is that her inheritance comes with a dark past, and you aren’t alone in said factory. Unlike typical horror games that offer haunted houses, Bloodmoored will take you into an industrial complex filled with machinery, workshops, and more.
As players explore deeper, they’ll uncover how the factory is tied to Anna herself, unraveling a narrative centered on guilt, cruelty, and lingering consequences. One thing that’s absolutely standing out about the title is that the ghosts aren’t always the game’s antagonists.
This has been one of the most distinctive elements of the game, as the developer suggests that the ghosts in Bloodmoored will shift between hostility and vulnerability. Some of them will hunt you down, while others help you progress further in the game by letting the player understand their story.
This unpredictability can create constant tension, where every encounter leaves players unsure whether they’re facing danger, or guidance.
Game Features:
- Industrial machinery you can operate to reshape paths and solve puzzles
- Evolving gameplay mechanics
- A variety of puzzles: physical, logical, and spatial
- Unique enemies with their own backstories
- Exploration of a large, interconnected environment
- Atmospheric cutscenes and a dramatic narrative
- Interactive environments
