SAW: Genesis Early Access Launch Delayed to Q1 2027

SAW: Genesis

SAW: Genesis was announced earlier this year by Bloober Team as a new 3v1 multiplayer horror game set in a dark, broken post–World War I world. The title has already entered closed alpha testing and was expected to enter Steam Early Access before the end of the year.

However, it seems the developers, Broken Mirror Games and Anshar Studios, need more time to develop the title and have delayed the SAW: Genesis Steam Early Access launch until next year.

The title’s official X account (formerly Twitter) has confirmed the delay. The developers announced it in an official statement, saying:

Our ambition from the beginning of development was to deliver a SAW video game worthy of its legacy, and for fans who have followed this franchise for decades. In fact, our ambition is for SAW: Genesis to become part of that legacy. This is why we take the quality of this game very seriously, and why we want to give it the time it needs.

The team admits that over the last few months, they have gathered a great deal of feedback and had the opportunity to test the game under a variety of conditions. Moreover, they have received a lot of positive comments, as well as specific notes that would help improve elements of the game and its performance.

Therefore, it’s good to see the developers taking their time with the game’s development rather than releasing a half-cooked launch that could disappoint many fans. SAW: Genesis’ Early Access launch has now been moved to Q1 2027. Follow us for any further updates on the title’s release.
