Isaac Clarke, the protagonist of Dead Space, is a systems engineer who works for the Concordance Extraction Corporation (C.E.C). At the time of events on the Ishimura , he is 43 years old. He is assigned to respond to the distress signal from the USG Ishimura, the first of the planet cracking line of ships.

Isaac was born in Northeastern America. Isaac’s father, Paul Clarke, was a renowned ship designer who left for space when Isaac was only a child. Losing her husband made his mother, Octavia Clarke, into a devout Unitologist. His mother gave all her money to the church rather than finance her son’s education. He went to a lesser-known college than the one he strived for, due to financial issues, but graduated with high honors and took after his father and became a system engineer. He enlisted in the service and was praised for his skill. Isaac attempted to reunite with his father, but he’d gone missing and his personnel files were classified. He lived with Nicole Brennan, his girlfriend, but his career stagnated about the same time she was promoted to the Ishimura.

SPOILERS ALERT!!!!!

Isaac Clarke was one of the five crew members aboard USG Kellion when it was assigned to repair the communications aboard the USG Ishimura. Upon finding the Ishimura the Kellion was struck by a meteorite and forced to crash land in the Ishimura. Shortly after abandoning their shuttle the group was ambushed by Necromorphs. Only Kendra Daniells, Zach Hammond, and Isaac survived, while both of the pilots were killed. The attack separated Isaac from the others.

Isaac aided Kendra and Hammond as they repaired the Ishimura, slowed by the onslaught of the Necromorphs. The group sent out an S.O.S beacon , which attracted a military vessel, the USM Valor. However, the Valor was soon attacked by a Necromorph that had been on board an escape pod the Valor had taken on. The Valor then crashes into the Ishimura. While attempting to get to the Valor’s singularity core Hammond was overwhelmed and killed by an Super Brute. Isaac came into contact with Dr. Terrence Kyne, a scientist who planned to return the Red Marker to Aegis-7 using a shuttle. Isaac retrieved the power core and used it to repair the shuttle. Before takeoff Kyne was killed as Kendra shoots him in the chest. Kendra revealed herself to be a covert agent for the government; and that the entire conflict on Aegis 7 was due to C.E.C. interference with the Marker.

Isaac, left for dead on the Ishimura, was saved by Nicole who compelled him to take the Marker back to the planet. Isaac arrived on Aegis 7 and managed to pull the Marker through Necromorph-infested chambers, finally succeeding in returning the Marker to it’s pedestal. The gravity tethers holding a large chunk of Aegis 7 that was removed became unstable. Isaac ran back to the shuttle, hoping to escape the destruction. Kendra removed the marker, planning to bring it back to Earth. She urged Isaac to watch the final half of Nicole’s message, which showed her suicide. It is then revealed that the Marker was compelling Isaac to return itself  to the planet , by making Isaac hallucinate , in the form of his dead girlfriend , since it was someone close to him and that he could trust.

As Kendra attempted to leave with the Marker she was killed by the Hive Mind, the core Necromorph that controls all others and had been sealed off by the marker. It attacked Isaac but he was able to successfully fight it off. Isaac quickly escaped the planet in his shuttle as the chunk of Aegis 7 entered the atmosphere. Aegis 7 was destroyed in a blinding flash. Finally alone, Isaac removed his helmet, and Nicole’s message began to play on its own on the console in front of him. Isaac turned it off just after it began. He deactivated the ship’s holograms and simply stared out into space. Something caught his attention to his right, and he turned to face a Necromorph that resembled Nicole. The final scene is the Necromorph’s attack growl - followed by a quick cut to the credits. The ending is left ambiguous with Isaac and Nicole’s fate never fully explored , ominously announcing a sequel.

Although the player can see Clarke’s face at the end of the game, the player has the option of seeing it at the beginning of the game. This can be done just as the Kellion crash lands into the Ishimura. If the player rotates the controller/mouse as Kendra and Hammond are conversing, the player can see Clarke’s face for a few seconds.

The name Isaac Clarke is derived from the names Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke, two science fiction authors.

From a comment in his “diary” (the Objectives tab in the menu) while he’s in the Mining Deck of the Ishimura, Nicole is not the only person he knew that was on the ship. Those others are some of the crew in the mining deck.

Kendra Daniels

Kendra Daniels is a technology specialist, and one of the five crew members of the USG Kellion who crash land on the USG Ishimura.She appears to be in her twenties. Shortly after the crash, the crew are attacked by the Necromorphs, and Kendra is seperated from the rest of the survivors, escaping certain death at the hands of the creatures by barricading herself in the Ishimura’s computer core. From there, Kendra keeps in contact with Isaac Clarke and Zach Hammond through their RIG links, using her considerable computer skills to assist the other crewmembers in their tasks around the ship, including by overriding secured doors through much of the ship, as well as help uncover the mystery behind the vessel’s infestation. She frequently expresses distrust of Hammond, ‘suspecting’ he knows more about the Marker then he lets on, and is generally much more panicked and frantic than both Hammond and Isaac, often urging them to abort the mission and focus on escape. Later on in the game, the Marker’s influence begins to take its toll on Kendra, causing hallucinations. She says that she keeps seeing her brother, even though “it’s not possible”, hinting that he is dead (or simply assigned somewhere other than the Ishimura).

Towards the end of the game, Kendra reveals herself to be a covert agent, who was specially selected by ‘higher ups’ to be onboard the USG Kellion mission. Kendra eventually shoots and kills Dr. Kyne in order to secure a shuttle carrying the Marker. It is during her escape does she reveal the true origin of the Marker and its purpose. This is short lived however, since Nicole Brennan (in fact an hallucination created by the Marker) orders Isaac to recall the shuttle. Isaac and “Nicole” follow Kendra to the colony where they manage to place the Marker back on to the pedestal. Kendra shows up and reveals to Isaac that Nicole is dead, and he too has been having hallucinations generated by the Marker. She then attempts to take the Marker back to the shuttle for transport to government custody. Before she could depart, The Hive Mind crushes and smears Kendra across the floor and walls of the colony’s shuttlepad, leaving her in a pile of body parts.

She may have some history with Isaac Clarke, if not just recently, as she comfortably refers to him by his first name , Isaac , while referring to Zach Hammond as Hammond.

There is no backstory revealed about Kendra upon Hammond’s request, as it is revealed that she was simply inserted into the team upon persistent recommendations by a higher-up in the CEC, but she may have been working for the Earth Defense Force.

Kendra, in fact, wears a RIG under her jacket. It can be seen briefly during her confrontation with Isaac at the Marker’s pedestal.Also , Kendra’s actions near the end of the game mimic that of Atlas in Bioshock.

Zach Hammond

The senior security officer on board the Kellion who travels with both Isaac and Kendra to the Ishimura. Hammond’s initial desire to complete the original mission and not immediately abort puts him at odds with Kendra, who finds this suspicious. Throughout the game he works to fulfill their original mission, but as time goes on, he becomes more disillusioned and focuses instead on getting himself and the rest of the surviving team off the ship. In a log after clearing the game it is revealed he asked for the information for both Isaac and Kendra, though the reason for this inquiry is not revealed.

Dr. Challus Mercer:

A doctor aboard the USG Ishimura and a devout Unitologist. In the wake of the calamity that has gripped the Ishimura, Mercer has become a religious fanatic, and attempted to convince the crew of the Ishimura to commit mass suicide. Mercer often works to bar the progress of Isaac and even attempts to kill him outright. Mercer sends a ‘prototype,’ regenerating Necromorph after Isaac several times through the course of the game until Isaac finally manages to kill it. To Mercer, everything that has happened is God’s will, and Isaac should die and allow their ‘children’ to take over. Near the end of the game, Mercer willingly sacrifices himself to a Necromorph, believing in his religion and its requirements that he die before he reaches the next level of evolution as a Necromorph himself.

Dr. Terrence Kyne:

he Chief Science Officer of the Ishimura who appears later in the game and asks for help from the surviving members of the Kellion team. He seems to be a bit eccentric, perhaps deranged, but offers to aid Isaac in stopping the nightmare that has gripped the Aegis System and the Ishimura. Kyne attempted to relieve Captain Mathius of duty during the crisis on the ship but instead seems to have been complicit in the captain’s death either in whole or in part. He regularly interacts with his dead wife, an apparition caused by the Marker that can’t be seen by the player.

Nicole Brennan:

Isaac’s ex-girlfriend and a medical specialist assigned to the Ishimura. She sent him a video asking for help and is one of the reasons he came to the Ishimura. He both sees and hears her as he moves through the ship and she repeatedly asks Isaac to “make us(/them) whole again,” however, something isn’t right about her.

It is not confirmed, but very likely, that Nicole is also seen in the animated prequel Dead Space: Downfall when main character Alissa Vincent asks a woman resembling Nicole if she has a boyfriend and if she wants to see him again , to which the woman answers “yes”.

It is still discussed by the Dead Space community what exactly Nicole’s fate was. Some argue that she is still alive, and that her suicide attempt was stopped before she could carry it out. If Nicole had committed suicide successfully, who opened the locked door? Isaac possibly hallucinated the lock. Why did the Necromorphs attack a hallucination only Isaac could see? The Red Marker could have used Necromorphs hallucinations to feign attack to encourage the thoughts Isaac had about Nicole being real. Another theory is that the entire confrontation with Kendra on Aegis 7 was a hallucination, along with the full video of Nicole’s message. While these theories are plausible the theory that she dies is supported by an in game easter egg where if you take all of the first letters of each chapter and put them together it spells out NICOLE IS DEAD :

Jacob Temple:

Jacob is an engineer on the USG Ishimura who is, like Isaac, trying to find his own girlfriend, Dr. Elizabeth Cross. The player often finds audio logs left behind by him as he progresses throughout the game. They find each other in the crew quarters but their reunion is cut short by Doctor Mercer. Temple never makes direct contact with the player. Isaac comes across Several of Jacob’s audio recordings throughout the game, especially in chapter three, where Isaac must travel down to engineering.

Captain Benjamin Matthius:

The captain of the Ishimura. Matthius was revealed to be a Unitologist who is strong in the belief the Marker belongs to the church. His fate is shown in a video log found on the fourth Level. He redirected the ship to collect the Maker and was experiencing dementia like so many of the exposed. He is relieved of duty by Dr. Kyne. He was killed when Dr. Kyne accidentally stabbed him in the eye with a hypodermic needle. He is later resurrected into a Enhanced Slasher by an Infector, and is the first one you fight in the game.

Guide

A teacher in the village of Mixcoatl. While an exchange student, he worked for an NPO. When he returned to his home village, he became a teacher, and dedicated himself to raising educational standards. He was hired by a US secret military agency after they took notice of his high-level information gathering skills, and reliability, to work as their informant into Javier’s dealing in the area. He knew that spying on Javier could prove to be a dangerous proposition, but after seeing Javier’s tyranny take the lives of so many of his countrymen, he agreed to the US government’s proposition. Sadly, he was attacked and killed by a B.O.W. released by Javier in retaliation. As a result, Leon and his team were left with no choice but to carry on with their mission without a guide.

Manuela Hidalgo

The girl Leon’s unit saved in the church, and the daughter of the target of their investigation. Her mother died when she was only 5 years old. She was brought up wanting for nothing, smothered in her father’s generous affection. A certain event caused her to leave her live of luxury in Javier’s mansion. She spend 3 days and 3 nights in the jungle, and escaped to a village downriver called Mixcoatl. That night, the village was destroyed by the B.O.W. unleashed by Javier.

Javier Hidalgo

A drug lord who built a powerful crime empire in the South American country of Amparo. He got his start by turning to drug dealing when he was only a teenager. By viciously and mercilessly murdering his enemies he found himself atop a massive crime syndicate. Because he uses his immense wealth and armed might to influence law enforcement, the actions of his organized crime ring go largely unchecked inside his own county. The Organization’s wealth has chiefly come from the drugs it exports al over the world, but recently it has been branching out into human trafficking. Javier holds an immoral philosophy in which he’ll do anything to get what he wants, and will place protecting those he loves above all. He rules with a ruthless intolerance of treachery and is very generous and compassionate towards those who follow him, which is why there are those who love and respect him as a hero.

Albert Wesker

The person behind the biological disaster in Amparo, and who has at least some involvement in every T-Virus related scheme to date. After being nominated to manage the Umbrella Management Training Facility in the 1970s, he was one of the foremost researches, active on Umbrella’s viral research programs. It was right around the time his colleague, Dr. William Birkin’s research on the T-Virus was nearing its completion that Wesker transferred to the company’s intelligence division. Wesker became the team leader of S.T.A.R.S, but that was only to conceal his true intentions. He used the disaster at Arklay to his own advantage. After guiding his subordinates to the mansion, he secretly went off to collect data on the nearly perfected B.O.W.s that had been developed there. His true intentions were discovered by Chris Redfield and a few other surviving S.T.A.R.S. members. It was thought that Wesker was killed by the Tyrant, but before he died, he injected himself with the T-Virus. After collecting as much information as he could, and escaping the mansion he went to work for one of Umbrella’s rival companies, bringing with him all the live battle data he had collected. That same year, right before the biological disaster and subsequent bombing of Raccoon City, he received help from the spy Ada Wong in acquiring a sample of the G-Virus developed by Dr. Birkin. Several months later, he attacked the Ashford family administered Rockfort Island and the Antarctic base in the search of the T-Veronica virus that had been developed by Alexia Ashford. He made off with the body of Steve Burnside, which was harboring T-Veronica. And as a new millennium began, he turned his interest to South America… Wesker comes into contact with a man frantically searching for a treatment for his daughter, the drug lord, Javier Hidalgo. He sold T-Veronica to Javier as an analeptic drug for a large sum of money and a stake in a collusive business partnership. What Wesker’s motives were for putting T-Veronica, whose effects would ripple throughout the entire continent, in the hands of Javier, no one knows.

Robert Kendo

Japanese-American owner of the Kendo Gun Shop adjacent to the police station. Perhaps it was because he freely handed out weapons to the remaining citizens, but after the outbreak, there were no good weapons remaining in the shop, and he wasn’t able to successfully defend himself with what was left to him. Leon , who just arrived in Raccoon City, witnessed him being attacked. He tried to save Robert, but was unsuccessful.

Marvin Branagh

The first surviving member of the Raccoon City Police Department Leon S. Kennedy meet. Up until a few days before, even though the town was under martial law, he had been doing fairly routine work, such as writing a report on a recent heist and preparing for Leon’s welcome party. After the biological contamination, he and the other police officers barricaded themselves in the Westside station. He lost most of his comrades when the zombies broke in, and Marvin himself was gravely wounded.

Brian Irons

Chief of the Raccoon City Police Department, and the man responsible for the horrific slaughter of his own people. While pretending to be a warm hearted police chief, concerned first and foremost with the safety of the city, he was actually concerned only with the lining of his own pockets. For the past five years, Chief Irons had been accepting bribes from the Umbrella Corporation to cover their various illegal activities. During his college years, he was arrested twice for domestic violence against his wife, and ordered to undergo annual psychiatric evaluations, of which he avoided. These underlying psychological issues would come to a head when the incident in Raccoon City occurred. All the masks he created for himself over the years fell away and the last shred of his sanity was shattered. He locked down the police station condemning those within to death. He hunted down and killed the mayor’s daughter, and in a last act of insanity intended to make her into a trophy.

Ben Bertolucci

A freelance journalist of the highest caliber. Although Ben’s quite ambitious and overly concerned about money, he’s also willing to risk life and limb to expose injustices. Ben came to Raccoon City after hearing of the various horrible incidents taking place there. In his search to find the trough, he got himself arrested and locked up in the Raccoon City Police Department jail. After the biological disaster, his jail cell became his refuge. Though he possessed the key to the cell, he decided staying in the cell would be safer than leaving with the zombies wandering about outside. He recorded everything he had learned about the incident, and was later attacked and killed by an unidentified creature.

Sherry Birkin

Sherry is the only daughter of the central figure in the G-Virus program, William Brikin. Perhaps because her parents were both obsessed with their work, she seems to have a difficult time interacting with other adults. When the biological accident in Raccoon City occurred, she went to the police station for help as instructed by her mother, Annette Birkin. She was forced to run and hide from the multitudes of zombie policeman in the station. Though she was in the protective custody of Leon and Claire, they were separated in the basement of the Police Station. There she was attacked by her father, William Birkin, who had mutated into the monster known as G and implanted with an embryo.

HUNK

Member of Umbrella Special Forces, a private unit under the authority Umbrella executives. During the biological calamity in Raccoon City, HUNK, of Alpha Team, was given secret orders by Christina, of the French branch, to infiltrate the underground laboratory along with his teammates and obtain a G-Virus sample from William Birkin by whatever means necessary. Eventually losing all of his teammates, he manages to single-handedly fend off the G creature that used to be William Birkin, secure the G-Virus, and complete his mission.

Ada Wong

The Asian woman Leon met in the Raccoon City Police Department’s underground parking facility. Ada had actually been working undercover at Umbrella as a spy for a rival corporation. Ada, who prior to the incident obtained information about the G-Virus from a researcher at the Arklay Laboratory, received orders to obtain it, and came to the zombie-overrun Raccoon City in search of the virus. In order to get clues, she tried to find Ben Bertolucci, who had been investigating related cases prior to the biological disaster. After Ben’s death, she encountered Annette Birkin while tracking her husband William Birkin who by this point had mutated into a single-minded monster. Ada was rescued from that critical situation by Leon, who risked his life to save her. From that moment, her feelings toward Leon changed. Later, Ada risked her own life to help Leon against the unstoppable Tyrant.

Annette Birkin

Annette is the mother of Sherry Birkin and the wife of the man responsible for the creation of the G-Virus, William Birkin. Annette gave birth to their daughter Sherry two years before William discovered the G-Virus. Even after becoming a mother, she threw herself back into her research out of love for her husband. Just before the biological disaster spread across the entire city, she contacted her daughter and instructed her to seek shelter at the police station. On her way to meet up with Sherry, she encountered Ada, the woman who was after her husban’s G-Virus. Annette also suspected Leon of being a spy due to him protecting Ada, but when she finds out that the mutated William is searching for Sherry, she gives Leon information to help Sherry. And resolves to make sure William is stopped.

William Birkin

William was the discoverer of the G-Virus, and also the one responsible for bringing about its fulfillment. Once the pride of the Umbrella Corporation, he began to disagree with the company’s policies and procedures while he was working on the G-Virus. It was at this time that he contacted the US Military to negotiate a deal. However, although William planned to monopolize the virus for himself, his plan was thrown into disarray by an attack from Umbrella’s Special Forces. Just before his death, he injected himself with the G-Virus which transformed him into the life form known simply as G.

Although he was given control of such important Umbrella facilities, he squandered his responsibilities by using the island for his own private torture facility. He also had a strange obsession with adoring the base with military collectibles. To Umbrella, Alfred was an encumbrance, nothing more than a petty dictator attempting to emulate greatness that was far beyond his reach. With no one to counsel him, his mental breakdown accelerated as he spent his days obsessing over the restoration of his family’s power.

Alexia Ashford

The brilliant scientist and artificially created daughter of Alexander Ashford, the sixth-generation head of the Ashford family. Though Alfred and she were twin brother and sister, their relationship was quite unequal. He treated her with the utmost love, while she lorded over him as a master might a slave. When Alexia was 10, she was hired as a research scientist at the Antarctic laboratory. She surprised the other scientists by conducting research on the T-Virus and simultaneously working on a new strain referred to as the T-Veronica virus. But when the research reached a critical point, Alexia did the incomprehensible. This girl, who was born with a heart of pure evil, forcibly used her father Alexander in an experiment and injected him with the virus. This experiment was a failure, ending with Alexander being transformed into a hideous monster, but for Alexia, it was important stage and opened new avenues of research for her. When her research approached the final stage, Alexia decided to use herself as a test subject, this time, injecting herself with T-Veronica. After doing so, she placed herself into a cryogenic sleep. The outside world was told that she had died during an experiment.

A cop born and raised in Silent Hill. She spent her childhood accompanying her dad in his police car and naturally as an adult joined the Silent Hill Police Force herself. She’s come to know this town inside and out, but during the recent blizzard that has stricken Silent Hill she encounters a strange man named Harry. Cybil finds herself having to fulfill her role as an officer past the line of duty and make a personal judgment in a mystery unlike anything she has ever experienced.

Dr. Michael Kaufmann

Age: 58

A psychiatrist with unusual and sometimes creepy methods to diagnosis and help his patients. Kaufmann calculates quickly in his head and his initial off-putting kindness can just as easily be replaced with a dry and dark sense of sarcasm, as if he takes pleasure exploiting his patients flaws. His therapy sessions are composed of a few games, questions, and talks where he really drills at people to get to the core of a person, and strike down and taunt any false hope that comes off in the process.

Dahlia

Age: Early 20′s

A mysterious woman who seems close to Harry, except Harry can’t remember her at all. She often texts him on his phone, demonstrates a friskier sexual side, and possesses a sharp tongue, not taking shit from no one. Harry not remembering her upsets her, and though short-tempered from his apparent memory loss, she says this isn’t the first time Harry’s acted bizarre like this. She seems to know more than she shares… Who exactly is she?

Michelle Valdez

Age: 20′s

A singer and bartender at the Balkan Night Club. She was coming to a High School Reunion with her longtime boyfriend John before the blizzard struck. Friendly, she helps Harry along his adventure on more than one occasion. She seems to be having issues of her own; piecing her own life together and coming to terms with her feelings. Her open mind and casual behavoir help Harry really feel at ease around her.

Lisa Garland

Age: 20′s

An ER Nurse at Alchemilla Hospital, Harry and her meet upon her crashing her car into the hospital and injuring her head. Concerned, Harry walks with her back to her apartment. She is overworked and shows signs of being addicted to prescription drugs to keep her going. Friendly and independent, though driven a little wild by men that remind her of her father, she will be quick to state she is a strong individual who doesn’t need a man to survive.

John

Age: 20′s

Michelle’s boyfriend since high school, he is a lawyer currently living in Massachusetts though stopping by Silent Hill for his and Michelle’s school reunion. He seems a bit caught between his job and his love.

Bartender

Age: Elderly

A kind bartender who works at the bar across the street from Diner 52. She is a tough cookie who keeps the bar open even in the blizzard to help weary customers. Having a way with people, she is quick to offer some assistance to Harry in his time of need.

Mike Stewart

Age: Elderly

A man who lives with his wife Lucy and daughter Katie, he answers the door to talk with Harry over a misunderstanding. A doctor at Alchemilla Hospital, he is a well respected man among the community.

A school teacher teaching at Midwich High School and living with her husband Mike and daughter Katie, she is a kind lady who though sensible is taken a bit aback over their misunderstanding with Harry.

Rebecca Chambers is an 18 year old medical expert. She is part of S.T.A.R.S, a tactical rescue force, and an arm of the R.P.D police force. She is in the Bravo Team of S.T.A.R.S. She begins her journey after reports of cannibalistic murder in the Arklay Mountains, however their helicopter crash lands and she is forced to walk on foot. She then begins her journey on the Ecliptic Express, where she meets companion Billy Coen. She then has to fight for her life in the Mansion alongside Richard Aiken. Playable in “Train Derailment” and “Nightmare” scenarios.

BILLY COEN

Billy Coen was being rode to his death, later found by Rebecca on the Ecliptic Express. He’s convict who used to be a soldier, accused of killing 23 people in the war, which later turns out to not be his fault. The transportation crew lost control over the truck and they crashed. The Bravo Team found the dead bodies of the crew. Billy Coen, who was not killed by the accident is now suspected to have killed the whole crew. Playable in “Train Derailment”.

At the Umbrella Training Facility he dispatched one of his Ivan bodyguards to kill Wesker for failing to save the facility from Marcus’s attack. At Arklay he was sent by Spencer to recover the Talos prototype. During the Raccoon City incident he was sent to recover the Red Queen data core, allowing Umbrella to fully recover from the loss of their installations at Raccoon. After Umbrella was forced to go underground he was placed in command of Umbrella’s base of operations in Russia.

Steve Burnside was taken prisoner by Umbrella along with his father, as his father had intended to sell information he had stolen while working for the company. Steve’s mother was also killed during their arrest, which we see in game to have caused him great distress. Steve met up with Claire early on in the Rockfort Island escape, and they both worked together to escape the Island. Eventually, a romance occurs between Steve and Claire, although he meets a rather sticky end at the hands of Alexia Ashford.

He runs out of hemostatic medicine which is needed to stop his injury bleeding and keep him alive, which if you provide, he is kind enough to give you a lockpick. He also meets ChrisRedfield later on in the game, until he is swallowed whole by a giant gulp worm. You get to choose his fate.

ALFRED ASHFORD

Alfred Ashford is the leader of the Military Training facility on Rockfort Island. He is the grandson of Edward Ashford, one of the three founders of Umbrella. He is very close to his twin sister Alexia, and has become mentally ill during her cryostasis, telling the employees on the Rockfort/Antarctic Facility that she died many years ago. In her abscence, he has developed a multiple personality disorder, with which he dresses up as his sister and speaks like her, taking on her personality and emulating a conversation between the two as if she were there. He has a great love for the military, having a model tank in the facility and a false tank which he uses to cover up a secret passage to an aircraft. His main priority is the protection of his sister while in cryogenesis, and although making him insane, he lived for and died for his duty to his sister. He has also stated he lives to serve his sister, and his ideal world is Alexia ruling the world with him as her servant.

ALEXIA ASHFORD

Alexia Ashford is the twin sister of Alfred Ashford, and the primary antagonist of the game. She was born in 1971, along with her twin brother Alfred. She and Alfred were born as the result of an experiment by their father, Alexander. This experiment was called the “Code: Veronica” project, thus the title of the game, designed to reincarnate the matriarch of the Ashford family, Veronica Ashford. This was done by putting the DNA of Veronica into an egg, placed into a surrogate mother, and fertilized by Alexander. After studying ants, she found their lifestyle to be ideal, and began work on the “T-Veronica virus”. Following a failed experiment on Alexander, she decides that it’s required to remain in cryogenic suspension for 15 years to fully assimilate the virus and be able to utilize it’s power correctly; that was 15 years ago.

Wesker is now a member of a new company, HCF, after being disbanded from Umbrella for being a rogue agent. He’s gained inhuman power by now due to the Wesker Virus created by Birkin, Although he is responsible for the attack on Rockfort Island, he appears to be amused by the fact that Alfred blames Claire for the incident. His new powers aid him in the battle with Alexia later on, although he is ultimately overpowered. He manages to secure a T-Alexia sample from the newly infected Steve, and manages to escape in a submarine.
