Wowzers: Dead Space 3 Dev Team Edition is pretty

Visceral Games, in partnership with Tree House Brand Store have created a whopper of a Limited Edition– one that is going to be limited to just 5,000 units. It already appears to be miles better than Dead Space 2′s Limited Edition, which had the underwhelming, tiny Plasma Cutter replica.

The Dead Space 3 Dev Team Edition comes with a slew of Dead Space branded merchandise and trinkets that only the developers of the game would be allowed to have–at least that’s what I think they’re going for.

Let’s detail this bad boy: for starters, the edition comes with a chubby, 8″ Black Marker Statue (shut up, I know), an Aluminum Data Pad, a Med Pack water bottle, a bound SCAF Jotter (journal), 3 SCAF posters, 6 Peng postcards, and a 96-page Mini Art Book. All of these goodies come in a 13″ tin case branded with the SCAF logo. The Black Marker is def the thing I want the most out of this edition. It could do well with a better base, though.

This hefty Collector’s Dev Team Edition comes with a $100 price tag without a copy of Dead Space 3. With a copy, the price is raised to $160 and will include the First Contact and Witness the Truth weapon/costume DLC. Both variants of the Dev Team Edition are already available to preorder. I’d give my left tentacle for one of these.
