Willem Dafoe joins Beyond: Two Souls

I'm a college student with a huge passion for gaming; horror being my favorite genre. I like to write about games in my spare time. When I'm not writing, I'm playing or talking about them. Hopefully this continues into what ever future employment I find myself in.

Willem Dafoe, one of my favorite actors due to his ability to appear absolutely insane on camera, has been announced as yet another high profile celebrity to star in Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls. The man with the golden grin will be playing Jodie’s friend and father figure, Nathan Dawkins.

While flaunting Hollywood stars and polygon counts seems to be too big of a focus for this game, I admit to be at least a bit more interested in the game due to Dafoe’s presence. The story premise had already caught my interest, but Heavy Rain didn’t give me much confidence in the studio’s story telling chops. Hopefully Beyond: Two Souls will surprise me with a well formed story to accompany its two likeable stars. Check out the video below that shows Dafoe and Page acting out their scenes. Don’t expect any gameplay, because…well, emotions.
