I'm a college student with a huge passion for gaming; horror being my favorite genre. I like to write about games in my spare time. When I'm not writing, I'm playing or talking about them. Hopefully this continues into what ever future employment I find myself in.

Our podcast is this weekend so takes some time to ask us some precious questions. The sort of questions that keep you awake at night. We’ll answer them. Maybe.

    What does it take to make an excellent story? Of course within the SH universe or any other horror game.

    I just found an old discussion on the IGN forums where people chose the Top Ten Worst Resident Evil Boss Battles.

    What would be your picks for the worst Resident Evil and Silent Hill boss fight? Which boss design do you think is really lame? (Oh snap, I said lame. I guess I’m ableist now…)

    Question: How would you list the most important aspects of a game in order, starting from what’s most important? Mine would be: Story, Soundtrack, Voice Acting, Gameplay, Graphics.

    A side from horror. Do you like the Hitman series? There is a new Hitman game coming in november. Although the hitman game have som horror elements. You basically playing as an cold blooded contract killer.

    Have you guys heard about the new horror PC game Lucius. It kind of reminds me of the movie Omen. It seems like an true surivial horror game with a great plot. Check it out.

    Rourke I got Ghost Trick! It’s amazing :D The story is great and the gameplay is amazing (I am stuck on chapter 8 or 9 though) The level with the ktichen and the giant chicken was INCREDIBLE!!!! and is now my favourite level ever!

    Anyway I should ask a horror question: One of the first games I played was Zelda: Ocarina Of Time and I was very surprised by how scary it was (the shadow temple D: GAH!) So my question what is your favourite / first non-horror game that scared you?

    Whitney’s scream hurt my ears, but too be fair she did have a good reason behind it! Rourke you shouldn’t hold the whole Alien thing over her };( Everyone’s entitled to there own opinion! GO WHITNEY!

    Recently my brother purchased the RE:ORC DLC. Funny thing was he had £16.99 sitting in his PSN wallet. Where did it come from? Answer -CAPCOM were selling RE4 & RECV on sale at this price, but according to my bro they disabled this bundle and refunded everybodys money without telling anyone because it was selling too well, each game should be £15.99 each. Now we have both games on our PS3, they are playable, and it cost us £0. Good for us, but not everyone. If my bro deletes, as some people have, then he will have to rebuy them at full price. My bro doesn’t go online that often so I don’t even know when this happened.
    What is your opinion on Capcom doing this? Are they that greedy or was the bundle pricing a mistake?

    This might not be A horror question but it mostly bothers me in those scenarios….in games like fallout, and skyrim, and a couple others I cant think of at this very moment, you are able to switch from third person to first person at the touch of a button, in this age of overly used first person games, why not make it that much easier for gamers who don’t like the first person view (such as me) but who would enjoy playin if it was third person, if it is just as easy as a quick code?

    Have you guys ever heard of Dead Pixels? I believe it deserves an honorable mention, even if it’s not survival horror per se. It’s an Xbox360 indie game that is an 8-bit side scroller. It only costs a dollar and it’s awesome.

    There’s tons of easter eggs from Resident Evil, such as a merchant that talks like the merchant from RE4 and has Moonlight Sonata playing in the background. There’s Dawn of the Dead easter eggs, Left 4 Dead, Grindhouse, and plenty more, I’m sure.

    Definately worth checking out. It also has couch co-op.

      RE Remake, RE Zero, RE Darkside Chronicles, Slient Hill Shattered Memories, Project Zero 2 (If you like outside America), Fatal Frame 4, Jo-on The Grudge, Calling, Cursed Mountain……..Uh, I can’t really think of any more :D Hope this helps (^_^)

    CJ, I believe you were talking about Alone in the Dark in a recent podcast. I too, had this game on the Xbox 360 and I thought it was dreadful.

    However, I recently got the PlayStation 3 version, and was amazed at how much better this version was. Many parts of the game were tweaked to make it more playable and the difference is astonishing.

    So basically, my question is, have you considered trying the PlayStation 3 version? I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s now actually a lot of fun to play, while the Xbox 360 version remains an exercise in frustration. Anyway, just thought you’d be interested to know.

    Question: Do u guys think it will be another Siren game on the PS3 or the
    Vita? since the Creator of Silent hill made it. I think it’s a lost Classic the one on PS3 was incredible and was a lot better then the 1st 2 silent hill games this Gen also the way how they used Fear in the game was incredible.
