The official release date for the first episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne has been revealed. Telltale Games has announced that the series will start on February 23 when “In Too Deep” lands on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Mobile versions will be released on the 25th.
The remaining installments of the three-episode story arc (that reveals what Michonne was up to in the comics between the events of issues #126 and #139), titled “Give No Shelter” and “What We Deserve,” will be released in March and April, respectively. The bundle will be available for $14.99.
You won’t have to wait long to get a taste of the zombie goodness that’s coming, though. Telltale has a special Valentine’s Day treat for fans in the form of five minutes of gameplay.
I’m really excited about this series. Not only are we getting more Walking Dead from Telltale, but we’re also getting a story focused on just Michonne, who is a pretty compelling character. And judging by the new image above, it looks like we’re going to be delving back into her past. It’ll be interesting to see how this ties into season 3 of Telltale’s series.
